Business schools are moving from classroom education to experiential learning. The world becomes a lecture theatre and learning comes from tackling real life problems facing global companies and societies. Around 30 Sauder MBA students, Canada were in Bangalore for their 'Global Immersion' programme. They also visited Akshaya Patra as part of this programme.
Nathdwara kitchen ISO certified
As part of The Akshaya Patra Foundation's endeavour to make all the centralised kitchens compliant to the Food Safety Management System, ISO 22000:2005, a certification audit was conducted at Nathdwara kitchen recently. The efforts of Nathdwara kitchen team bore fruitful results as they successfully completed the audit for ISO Certification.
Ratan-Tata-visits-Akshaya-Patra-Hubli
Ratan Tata, non-executive chairman, TATA group visited the Akshaya Patra Hubli kitchen recently. Ratan Tata spent an hour in the Akshaya Patra premises visiting the kitchen with all the dignitaries. After visiting the kitchen and interacting with the Akshaya Patra representatives, Ratan Tata said, “It is an extremely impressive undertaking which indicates what can be achieved when you have dedication and sincerity of achievement for the public good.”
