Bank of Baroda sponsors for a meal delivery vehicle
Bank of Baroda has donated a meal distribution vehicle to The Akshaya Patra Foundation. This is second meal distribution vehicle that the country's first largest public sector lender has donated to Akshaya Patra to fulfill their shared vision of creating a brighter future for the deserving children. The custom-designed vehicle donated will be used to distribute mid-day meals to children in government schools across Bangalore.

A public-private venture, the Akshaya Patra Foundation’smid-day meal programme is providing food tounder-privileged studentsand employment to women It may be just one hot meal for a child but it has a huge cumulative impact in building a strong, educated, egalitarian India.
Akshaya Patra Beneficiaries Midday Meal Scheme
The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, plans to extend its midday meal scheme to four major cities in Uttar Pradesh. The foundation provides hot cooked food to over 1.64 lakh school children here and in Mathura at present in public-private partnership mode. It intends to cover one lakh children each in Lucknow and Kanpur, 50,000 children in Varanasi and Agra each and 25,000 children in Kannauj by next year.
Wall of Hope and Joy, the two-day long exhibition saw over 250 visitors who were very impressed with the work Akshaya Patra is doing. It was held in Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is once again hosting a photo exhibition on 19th and 20th April, 2014, between 10 am and 7 pm at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore. The exhibition will showcase shots of children in their varied moods and demeanour. The walls at the exhibit will have different themes providing a picturesque tour to experience the essence of the vision and mission of the foundation.
