Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister, visits Rourkela kitchen

On 2nd February, 2015, the Rourkela kitchen was visited by Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Steel, Mines, Labour and Employment, and other dignitaries. They were greeted by Pancharatna Dasa, Vice President of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Odisha.

On completing his tour of the kitchen Mr Tomar expressed his pleasure over Akshaya Patra's mid-day meal programme by leaving a written testimonial saying, "The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an honorable project.. 57,000 school children are getting benefitted out of this program which is supported by Rourkela Steel Plant. Best wishes."

The dignitaries accompanying Mr Tomar were C S Verma, Chairman, SAIL; K K Mohanty, Director (Technical), SAIL; T Suresh, Director (Projects), SAIL; G S Prasad, CEO, RSP; and P K Pradhan, General Manager (I/C), P&A, RSP.
