Akshaya Patra's annual report for 2010-11 was awarded the second runner up position by the South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA) under the category of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). The awards under different categories were conferred on the basis of evaluation administered by SAFA's committee for improvement in transparency, accountability and governance, of the published annual reports of entries from South Asian Countries.
