Campaign Overview

I, Kiran Kumar Mannam, an ambassador for the cause of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, want your help to raise funds for one EV 4-wheeler by donating to this campaign & spreading the word about it. The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a well-known social development organization dedicated to providing mid-day meals to children in govt. & govt. aided schools. The foundation serves hot, fresh and nutritionally rich mid–day meals to over 2 million children, every school day. Currently, Akshaya Patra operates 67 kitchens across 15 States and 2 Union Territories of India. The organization is committed to quality, efficiency and the use of technology for the betterment of children. Electric Vehicles are one of the most suitable alternatives for traditional petrol-run vehicles. Hence, Akshaya Patra is looking forward to replacing the current convoy of vehicles with electric vehicles. These vehicles are utilised to transport freshly cooked food to schools. EV 4-wheeler will enable us to improve our savings and we will be able to feed more children. We derive the following direct benefits from the proposed project: Moving from petrol vehicles to electric vehicles will reduce carbon emission Lowering vehicle maintenance cost Reducing noise pollution Benefits of tax saving on vehicles Convenience of charging at Akshaya Patra facility EVs are cost-efficient as compared to petrol/diesel vehicle
