  • Job Description:
    • Responsible for all govt communication in the form of proposals or letters etc. Should be able to understand the Govt policies and work with the Govt to ensure proper support Akshaya Patra’s partnership with the Govt.
    • Relationship building: Developing contacts with Govt officials- Bureaucrats, Govt officers and Politicians. Fix regular meetings for the Regional President/ PR head with the Bureaucrats, Politician.
    • Reply to Govt letters/notices and regular engagement with Govt: To reply to govt queries and ensure better communication with the Govt machinery. Ensure that govt machinery at all levels are aware of the services of Akshaya Patra Foundation. Ensure regular visits of the officials and politicians to the kitchens and schools.
    • The person will be engaging with Councillors (Corporators), MLAs, Ex MLAs, MP, Ex MPs, Cabinet Ministers, IAS officers and Govt officials who are part of the Govt machinery and who are key stakeholders of Akshaya Patra’s services.
    • It is important that all these stake holders are regularly shared the Annual report, Rashmi Bansal’s book and other collaterals of TAPF so that they carry good opinion of the services of Akshaya Patra.

Position: Operations Head ( Food Plant Operations ) Location: Mumbai Qualification and Years of Experience: Graduate or Post Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Food Science / Food Technology. A Minimum of 15+ Yrs experience in Plant Operations in a Food Manufacturing or Food Processing or Food Production industry including experience in Operations, Safety & Quality Assurance.

Job Responsibility: -

  • Monitoring the Product quality & conducting process control analysis for finished goods for the production operations. Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and initiating corrective measures to avoid re-occurrence.
  • Managing the manufacturing operations by monitoring and implementation of the annual business planning, target setting and budgeting processes through leading a team of Executives, Supervisors, Operators and technicians.
  • Identifying capacity limitations & bottlenecks and process problems, reasons for production shortfall for taking corrective action.
  • Undertaking troubleshooting & de-bottlenecking of process/equipment to enhance productivity. Maintaining quality standards for incoming materials, ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices, identifying gaps & taking corrective action Monitoring of food & Non-food procurement.

PRODUCTION, PLANNING AND CONTROL:

  • Handling production operations to ensure timely completion of production targets within pre-designated quantity, quality, safety, time and cost parameters Preparing SOP and implementing effective techniques to bring efficiency improve quality standards & achieve maximum cost savings.
  • Effective resource planning for optimizing man & machine utilization, reducing wastes for enhancing productivity and profitability.
  • Overseeing production related tasks including planning, control and trouble shooting.
  • Setting up production targets and achieve the same within time and cost Parameters.

DISTRIBUTION AND LOGISTICS:

  • Spearheading logistics operations encompassing coordination between production & distribution dept., collecting orders & distribution of food, customer complaint redressal & vehicle management.

  • New TPM Initiatives On Job Training on Machine Maintenance Inventory Management Implementing mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting safety audits and process audits.

Construction Management:

  • Manage multiple Akshaya Patra kitchen construction projects from scratch to handover, as defined by the management
  • Prepare & Execute project delivery schedule as defined by the senior management and present the same in MSP format
