Advanced technology has played a vital role in our mid-day meal operations, especially when lakhs of meals have to be prepared in a span of few hours.

Recently, we inaugurated our first roti-making machine in South India at Ballari kitchen. The 40-feet machine, donated by Vijaya Bank as part of its CSR activities, is fully automated and has the capacity to produce 20,000 rotis per hour. We would like to thank Vijaya Bank for their generous support towards our Food for Education programme.

As of January 2017, centralised kitchen in Ballari which is ISO certified prepares mid-day meals for 1,11,333 children in and around this district. As we prepare to reach out to many more children in the coming years, kitchen equipment like the roti-making machine is an encouragement to reach our goals.
