Cisco Bangalore in association with Akshaya Patra distributed 3,000 breakfast boxes across 15 Government school on 29, July 2015. The activity was conducted on behalf of John Chambers, former CEO, Cisco systems who departed the company.  Over 100 volunteers from Cisco joined in to distribute breakfast boxes to the children. Each box contained cornflakes, milk, raisins and a chikki (Indian sweet made out of groundnuts and jaggery) bar for the children.

Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Kumar, Cisco employee said, “It was really nice experience to spend some time with school kids on Saturday morning. Thanks for giving us a chance to put in these efforts apart from our regular work.”

With an aim to end hunger in classrooms, Cisco has already contributed over 250 volunteering hours towards the Mid-day Meal programme.
