Golf for Good Charity Tournament Raises Funds to Feed 1,400 Children

Bengaluru, 21 March 2025: ‘Golf for Good’, a charity tournament in aid of Akshaya Patra powered by Neokred’s Empact Project has witnessed waves of enthusiasm in Bengaluru. The event held in the Prestige Golfshire Club has brought many corporate leaders, philanthropists and sports enthusiasts under one umbrella to support schoolchildren’s mid-day meals across India. The funds pooled through this charity tournament will help Akshaya Patra, the implementing partner of The Government of India’s PM POSHAN Abhiyaan, to serve 1,400 children (approximately 3,20,122 meals) for an entire year. 


Several prominent personalities have involved in the event including Dinesh Malkani - Founder & CEO of Smarten Spaces and former President of Cisco; Vaibhav Gupta - Managing Director of Mairav Group of Companies and Group CEO of Greenways Group of Companies; Gopinath Ambadithody, VP of the Embassy Group; and Ishwar Subramanian, Director of V Guard Industries Ltd.


Speaking of the event, Mr. Sridhar Venkat, CEO of The Akshaya Patra Foundation said, “Golf for Good has been a testament to the power of collective action. Every swing taken today contributed to a child’s future, ensuring that no child has to study on an empty stomach. We are deeply grateful to all the participants and supporters for making this event a grand success.
