TAPF-NACEN conduct NGO-attachment programme for 60 newly recruited Tax Assistants
In continuation to the NGO-attachment training-cum-exposure visit, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, in collaboration with the National Academy of Customs, Excise & Narcotics (NACEN), organised a one-day training programme for 60 newly recruited Tax Assistants on January 13, 2017 in Bengaluru. NACEN is a training institution working under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
The Tax Assistants visited the Foundation’s centralised kitchen in Vasanthapura, along with Saraki High School in Bengaluru, where they served meals to Akshaya Patra’s beneficiary children.
On June 7, 2017, Akshaya Patra opened a new centralised kitchen in Bhavnagar – fifth largest city in the state of Gujarat
Around 25 enthusiastic young volunteers participated in a cleanliness drive organised by AIKYA, in pursuance of its mission to enhance the quality of school education, promote a culture of ‘Cleanliness and Hygiene’ in schools served by The Akshaya
