Akshaya Patra is holding a three-day training workshop in Vrindavan from 28th to 30th December for participants from the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), New Delhi. The workshop was held earlier in Bangalore on 21st to 23rd December.

The training has been undertaken to provide the participants with insight into the working of Akshaya Patra as a not-for-profit organisation, as well as provide understanding of the processes, challenges and developments of other NGOs in the industry.

Some of the subjects covered in these workshops include NGOs as a pressure group, stakeholder participation, Government schemes and their role in the delivery of public service schemes, Government-NGO partnerships to implement schemes, the role NGOs play in sustaining and strengthening groups and communities, critical issues in policy formation and more.

During the training workshop participants will enjoy an exposure visit where they will go to the Akshaya Patra centralised kitchen at Vrindavan to get first-hand experience on the operations process implemented, as well as visit the local NGOs.
