Akshaya Patra presents Outride Hunger 2016!

An awesomely fun, annual biking event to raise awareness of Akshaya Patra’s cause, this year Outride Hunger will feature over 300 participants from the Biker’s Club and individual riders.The event is organised in partnership with Wrangler.

The 26 kilometer trail will begin at Akshaya Patra’s HK Hill kitchen on Chord Road, Rajajinagar, and finish at the Vasanthapura kitchen on Kanakapura Road! The event will culminate with a tasty lunch at the Vasanthapura kitchen, and a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

To participate, all you have to do is register on the website, and provide your contact details with your t-shirt size. On the day of the event assemble at the venue at 07.00am, get briefed on the ride, enjoy a wholesome breakfast, and at 08.30am kick your bike into gear!

Be a part of this unique experience  and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow bikers riding for a cause. Take part in Outride Hunger to join the biking community in helping us spread the word of Akshaya Patra’s work to end classroom hunger and illiteracy.

  1. Participants of this event should have a valid driving license, Registration Certificate of the bike used during the event and valid insurance for the vehicle.

  2. Participants agree to honor all valid traffic rules and regulations formulated for safe driving by the State of Karnataka. He/she shall not violate any traffic rules during the course of the event.

  3. Participants shall not use any mobile phones while riding the bike during the event.

  4. Helmets shall be always worn and strapped on during the ride

  5. Formation riding will be adopted during the event to avoid inconvenience to the general public. All riders shall obey the rules of formation riding at all times as instructed by the team’s lead/Sweep or Marshalls. This is to ensure safety of all riders during the group ride.

  6. Overtaking of other bikers is strictly prohibited during the ride.

  7. Every group formed shall maintain a safe speed and no team member shall go ahead of the group leaving the other riders behind them. Riders are expected to understand that this is a ride to raise awareness and not a bike race.

  8. No stunts shall be performed by any biker during the ride.

  9. Akshaya Patra does not take responsibility for any accidents/injuries during the ride. However, an ambulance facility is extended to all riders in case of an emergency.

  10. Riders will be provided a pamphlet which shall contain contact numbers of volunteers who can be reached out to at any point of time during the ride.
