Welcome to Outride Hunger 2019!

Then we are glad to announce: Outride Hunger is happening on Sunday, 13th January 2019. And you are welcome.

On January 13, 2019, more than 200 bikers will ride in unison in Thane and you can join the journey by registering with us. Outride Hunger is an annual biking event that brings an enthusiastic community of bikers together to raise awareness on classroom hunger and food for education initiative.

To participate, all you have to do is register on the website, and provide your contact details with your t-shirt size.

Why should you Outride Hunger?

What biking is to you, a meal is to our beneficiary – it’s energising. And so, we decided to bring bikers together – at one place – to not just ride but ride to support a cause.

 All proceeds of this event will support Akshaya Patra’s Food for Education Initiative.

  1. Participants of this event should have a valid driving license, Registration Certificate of the bike used during the event and valid insurance for the vehicle.

  2. Participants agree to honor all valid traffic rules and regulations formulated for safe driving by the State of Telangana. He/she shall not violate any traffic rules during the course of the event.

  3. Participants shall not use any mobile phones while riding the bike during the event.

  4. Helmets must be worn at all times while operating a motorcycle. All motorcycles & vehicles to be operated a "walking speed" in the pits. This will avoid accidents & reduce dust. Operating a motorcycle outside the demarcated boundaries/route is STRICTLY forbidden. Please respect this request in order to protect and secure our future right to ride.

  5. Formation riding will be adopted during the event to avoid inconvenience to the general public. All riders shall obey the rules of formation riding at all times as instructed by the team's lead/Sweep or Marshalls. This is to ensure safety of all riders during the group ride.

  6. Overtaking of other bikers is strictly prohibited during the ride.

  7. Every group formed shall maintain a safe speed and no team member shall go ahead of the group leaving the other riders behind them. Riders are expected to understand that this is a ride to raise awareness and not a bike race.

  8. No stunts shall be performed by any biker during the ride.

  9. Akshaya Patra does not take responsibility for any accidents/injuries during the ride. However, an ambulance facility is extended to all riders in case of an emergency

  10. Riders will be provided a pamphlet which shall contain contact numbers of volunteers who can be reached out to at any point of time during the ride. Please report any issues with your vehicle or any other emergency to the volunteers without fail to seek assistance.

  11. DOPING - DRUGS / ALCOHOL USE DURING OR BETWEEN RIDING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN

  12. Do a safety check before the ride. Check your oil, tire pressure, headlights, taillights, turn signals, battery, and fluid levels.

  13. Maintain a distance of two bike lengths between each member of the group.

  14. If an accident occurs, do not panic and stop suddenly. This can cause a pile up. Pull to the side of the road in formation and call emergency services. Do not crowd the injured rider.

Last year, we had more than 400 passionate bikers experience Outride Hunger.
