US Ambassador visits Vasanthapura kitchen

His Excellency, Mr. Richard Rahul Verma, the US Ambassador to India, visited The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s Vasanthapura kitchen on 4th November 2015. He was joined by Ms. Andie DeArment, Cultural Affairs Officer at the US Consulate General in Chennai.

First Food Safety and Quality Control Lab

Akshaya Patra has opened its first Food Safety and Quality Control Laboratory (FSQC Lab) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Aimed to evaluate food from farm to plate, the lab has been fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and high-precision testing instruments.

Inauguration of Lucknow Kitchen

We are expanding. We are happy to announce we have inaugurated our first kitchen in Lucknow on 15th March, 2015. The centralised kitchen was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav.

Anandiben Patel inaugurates Surat kitchen

Akshaya Patra’s Surat kitchen was inaugurated on 15th February. The centralised kitchen was formally opened by Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel. The kitchen was sponsored by the Surat Municipal Corporation and ONGC.
