Campaign Overview
The Akshaya Patra foundation is an NGO implementing mid-day meal programme in the Government schools and Government aided schools in 24 locations and 10 states across India reaching 14 lakh children every day.
Akshaya Patra aims not only to fight hunger but also to bring children to school. The organisation strives to fight issues like hunger and malnutrition in India. They aim to reach 5 million children by 2020.
Rs.750 (Rs. 2.06/day) is all it takes to feed a child for a year.
