Campaign Overview

I’m sure as uni students with long hours and a range of other commitments, we are all too familiar with hunger pangs. However, being in the privileged position we are in, most of us have never had to live involuntarily with that hunger for longer than even a day or two. But did you know that 1/3 of the world’s undernourished children are from India.

Food is a basic necessity of life, the base of the pyramid in Maslows hierarchy of needs. When the food available is not sufficient, the child has to decide about how to survive. Survival comes first, growth next and learning comes last…

Akshaya Patra Foundation is an extraordinary not-for-profit organization doing work in the area of feeding children in government schools, the basic foundation for the building of any nation. On top of that, they aren’t serving gruel but delicious, nutritious, filling Indian meals!

The pain of hunger is un-bearable, so help support my campaign to support Akshaya Patra and eradicate hunger.

And you can be sure your money is going towards the programme, as only ~ 4% goes into fundraising costs which is one of the reasons I chose this charity to support.
