Medicines or food?

Rahul Meedha is a 27-year-old comes from a small town called Pratap Nagar in Jaipur. He was the only earner in his family of six that consists of three young sisters, his mother, and his father apart from him. His father was diagnosed with second stage lung cancer. During the nationwide lockdown, he was forced to stay home without any job or income. As days passed by, arranging for his father’s medication became challenging. The food supplies in his house were very limited and became the reason of their malnourishment.

Rahul says, “My food containers have been empty for days now and being unemployed makes my situation even more problematic. How can I choose between buying my father’s medicines and food essentials?” His sister adds that they need Akshaya Patra’s meals as long as the pandemic prevails.

When there was no job to buy medicines or food, Akshaya Patra’s meals came as hope for a better tomorrow. Support to feed vulnerable communities in times of distress.
