The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) has honoured The Akshaya Patra Foundation with a Vision Award in Gold in recognition of Akshaya Patra´s 2011-12 Annual Report. This is the second consecutive LACP Award for the Foundation. The 2011/12 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition received more than 5,500 entries from across more than two-dozen countries and across all industry types.
The Public Relation Council of India (PRCI) recently held its 7th Annual Global Communication Conclave at Hyderabad. It was a two-day Global Meet and the agenda included: Induction of PR Professionals into Hall of Fame; Chanakya Awards for Achievers; followed by Corporate Collateral Award. The Akshaya Patra Foundation received a Gold Award in PRCI Corporate Collateral Awards-2013.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been conferred the ICAI Gold Shield Award for the 4thconsecutive year. This is the highest award given by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Akshaya Patra bagged this award for the Annual Report 2011-12. The Award ceremony was held in Mumbai recently, as a part of the International Conference held by ICAI.
Akshaya Patra-pioneer in mid-day meal programme in India was a part of the winning entries at the 4th edition of the Innovation for India Awards 2012, organised by Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF). Akshay Patra which has a mechanized kitchen with different models for urban and rural schools to enable it to provide hot nourishing food to children was a winner.
The awards were given across Business, Social and Public Service categories, and the most deserving innovations were marked by simplified processes, low costs, sustainability and transformational impact.
Akshaya Patra has won two awards at The League of American Communications Professionals LLC (LACP) 2010/11 Vision Awards - the world's largest annual report competition for its 2010-11 annual report.
The Vision Awards recognizes outstanding annual reports of the past twelve months. The two awards which Akshaya Patra have received this year are Gold Award for excellence within industry (Non-Profits-Annual Revenue $10 - $100 million) worldwide and Ranked #73 in the Top 100 Annual Reports (All Industries) worldwide. It becomes more important as more than 5,000 companies from two-dozen countries have applied for this competition and we are ranked 73rd out of them.
Akshaya Patra was recognized as the best ‘Bhagidari’ [Partnership effort] under social development by the Government of Delhi. Akshaya Patra was selected among 14 non-governmental organisations to participate in the two-day annual Bhagidari Mela hosted by the Government of Delhi on 9th and 10th April 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This event also witnessed the participation of 45 departments of Delhi government and several resident welfare associations (RWA).
The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been declared the runner-up for the CSO Partners ‘Outstanding Annual Reporting Award’ for the year 2010-11 in the large organisations category. We have received this award for the second year in a row. This award is an effort to promote transparency and accountability in the voluntary sector and promote better standards of financial reporting, which takes into consideration the preparation and presentation of annual report. CSO partners is a non-profit organisation with a team of professionals from multi-discipline backgrounds with an extended base of partners specialized in services relevant to Civil Society Organisations(CSOs) in India. The award is a joint initiative of CSO partners, Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF) and Credibility Alliance (CA).
The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been awarded the Gold Shield Award for best financial reporting by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The award was given based on Akshaya Patra’s Annual Report and Accounts for the year ending March 31, 2010. Akshaya Patra was selected by a panel of judges on the degree of compliance with accounting standards, statutory guidelines and other relevant pronouncements. The Gold Shield is the top award given by the ICAI.
International Award for Akshaya Patra
The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s Annual Report for 2008-09 has received the “Certificate of Merit” awarded by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 2009 in the category of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs). The Award ceremony will be held on 12th December, during the first valedictory session of first SAFA summit in Kathmandu, Nepal.

ICAI- Gold Shield Award
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, one of the country's most prestigious accounting bodies conferred the Gold Shield Award to Akshaya Patra for the Best Financial Reporting in the year ended 2008-2009. Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIT Mumbai
Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman of Akshaya Patra, was honored by his alumni, the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai with their annual Distinguished Alumnus Award 2010 for his 'contribution to humanitarian service and organic farming'.
