“A Year-long Youth Ambassador Program. A shaper for Life!”

Future Shapers is a community of socially conscious youth (15-18 years old) committed to making a meaningful difference in the world. This community is curated by The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a for-impact organization that aims to ensure food & nutrition security and promote access to education in India.

Through Future Shapers, we are committed to help young leaders in fighting inequality, contributing to achieving the SDGs, and promoting youth empowerment.

How to be a Future Shaper?

You can nominate yourself by filling details in the form below. Selected members will be part of the community till they graduate from their schools, post which they join Future Shaper Alumni community to mentor future cohorts.

As part of the Future Shapers cohort, you can choose to work on impactful projects or social problem statement in coordination with Akshaya Patra team.

As a Future Shaper, you will also:

Design events/engagements on school campus to increase cause awareness
Recruit, onboard, and train junior cause ambassadors.
Drive active outreach within your community to mobilize resources
Track and report event plans, meetings, and social media activity.

Eligibility:

Only for Grade 9th/MYP and above school students
Start/end date: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Duration of the program: 12-24 months (depending upon the Grade in which the student is currently enrolled)

Curated learning opportunities by experts from different functions (e.g. Social Impact/ /Effective Communication/Organizational Leadership).

Future Shapers will provide access to a variety of networking opportunities, connect with other like-minded individuals, building a network that can support the growth.

Impact:

Create positive impact in the community through innovative projects designed on principles of impact & scale. Akshaya Patra team will support Shapers in developing and implementing projects that align with their passions and expertise.

Recognition:

Get rewarded with Certificate of appreciation/ Letter of Recommendation from Program Mentors, Senior leadership of Akshaya Patra and host of other benefits
