Access to nutrition is still a challenge for millions of children in our country. As a run-up to the National Nutrition Month, an outreach campaign has been organised to build awareness and mobilise masses to be a part of the endeavour of ensuring proper nutrition for children. This is a signature campaign where conscientious citizens are being encouraged to sign a pledge card to:
- Not waste food,
- Support under served people by feeding them
- Spread the message in their network
All the signed pledge cards will be sent to the Prime Minister’s Office as an expression of our collective commitment to address the issue of malnutrition thereby also requesting Honourable Prime Minister to take up the subject of ‘ensuring access to nutrition for all’ in his upcoming Mann ki Baat episode.
Campaign date: 16 August 2018 – September 30 2018.
Impact:The Pledge to Nourish campaign will create awareness and tangible action from thousands of people and critical stakeholders in the Government. This will positively contribute towards two of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations i.e.: Goal 2: Zero Hunger, and Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing.
