On 27th August, 2016, the Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee commemorated The Akshaya Patra Foundation's milestone of serving 2 billionth meal. The event, which was held at ISKCON Bangalore, was also graced by the Governor of Karnataka, Shri Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala; Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah; Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar; and other dignitaries.
